58mm f/1.2 Noct-Nikkor AIS
Superb for available-light shooting in the dimmest of light
Normal picture coverage of 40°50′.
Ultra-fast f/1.2 maximum aperture produces a bright, easy-to-focus finder image even in dim light and permits the use of faster shutter speeds -a definite advantage in holding the camera steady. Aspherical front lens element assures optimum correction for coma, particularly at maximum aperture, thus making bright point sources of light near the edges of the picture frame appear as dots rather than comet-shaped blurs. Nikon Integrated Coating insures faithful colour rendition, while reducing ghost images and flare. Improved optical system provides virtually distortion-free performance down to the closest focusing distance of 0.5m (1.7 ft.) as well as high-contrast images. Extremely well corrected for internal reflections, thanks to a matte-black finish on all inner metal surfaces.
Uses popular 52mm filters despite its large maximum aperture. Designed especially for dim-light photography, but can be used for any subject, such as candid’s, travel photography, sports, or weddings.
