Nikon Data Back MF-10 and MF-11 offer three separate devices for entering data – the timepiece unit, the dating unit and the memo plates. The timepiece unit is a miniature three-hand clock with main – spring-powered movement for up to 24 hours of continuous operation. The dating unit offers control of dating information and features year/month/day selection via click start thumb-wheel controls. Memo plates are available for entry of hand-written information such as lens settings, shooting location, type of film, etc.

What we are describing is the cosmetic condition of the lens barrel. When it applies to cameras, motor drives, speedlights etc. the understanding is that the item is in perfect working order and the description would mean the exterior appearance. In other words we are judging cosmetic appearance.
