Description
Introduced in 1978, the TC-14 was a result of a combination of research and innovation from Nikon lens designers as the previous TC-200 and TC-300 designs rendered a 2-stops lessening of light incident on the image plane. The introduction of a 1-stop+ exposure compensation teleconverter was welcomed by many photographers.
An amazing aspect of the TC-14 Teleconverter at the time was that had been designed as a “pancake sized” optical device and usable not only on a number of super-telephoto lenses but also on certain Nikkor lenses with shorter focal lengths. It offered a 40% increase in magnification of primary focal length and only one f-stop decrease in the effective aperture. Measuring merely 64.5mm diameter x 33.5mm height and weighing only 165g, this is the lightest and the most compact manual lens teleconverter of all. The teleconverter is particularly useful for use with the 180mm f/2.8 lens and also with the Nikkor 135mm f/2.0s, the Nikkor 135mm f/3.5s, the Nikkor 200mm f/2.0, and the Micro-Nikkor 200mm f/4.0 IF, also with and some Zoom-Nikkor lenses beyond 200mm. The TC-14 was introduced as a true Ai Teleconverter and it incorporated an Ai lens coupling for automatic diaphragm and full aperture TTL metering with all Ai Nikon SLR camera bodies. Nikon Integrated Coating was applied to all lens elements for outstanding resolution with virtually no loss in image quality. Another optical characteristic is its high contrast and excellent color rendition.

- VG-An item that falls below our regular level of gradings. Items in VG- condition will have excessive signs of use.
Please note that the following important points when you see our grading description. When applied to lenses it means that the optics are in perfect condition. What we are describing is the cosmetic condition of the lens barrel. When it applies to cameras, motor drives, speedlights etc. the understanding is that the item is in perfect working order and the description would mean the exterior appearance. In other words we are judging cosmetic appearance.

Returns and Refunds
All second hand equipment comes with a 14-day Sale or Return period and a 6-month warranty. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with a second hand item you have received from us you may return it for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, the only stipulation being that the item is in the same condition as it was purchased.
If an item is found faulty at the time of purchase your shipping costs to return the item to us will also be refunded.
Where the item has been used within the 28-day returns period, we may make a deduction from any refund if the value of the goods has been reduced
You may return a second hand item for a refund if it is no longer desired or required but please note that your shipping costs will not be refunded under these circumstances.

Delivery Information
Orders placed Monday to Friday before 12pm will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after 12pm or on the weekend will be shipped the next working day.
